Our Comprehensive Sports Assessments are much more than a standard eye examination.
This evaluation provides a performance profile in areas such as:

EYE-HAND COORDINATION- the ability of your vision system to coordinate the information received through your eyes to control, guide, and direct your hands towards the given task, such as catching a ball. Eye-hand Coordination determines how well you organize control of your eye movements with your hand movement.
REACTION TIME- the time required to respond to a visual stimuli. By improving reaction time we can help you quicken up your response time, by training the brain to work more precisely.
VISUAL CONCENTRATION- Your ability to ignore distractions happening around you.
DEPTH PERCEPTION-commonly know as “3D Vision’, depends on your ability to use both eyes together in a specific manner. Accurate depth perception allows you to identify the exact location of an object (such as a ball) so that you can kick, hit, or catch it.
EYE TEAMING-Weaknesses in eye teaming can result in double vision, eyestrain, fatigue, headaches, or dizziness. Deficiencies of the vergence system will affect sports performance either the entirety of your game or during specific aspects of your game.
PERIPHERAL VISION-Often referred to as our “side vision”. Strengthening peripheral vision helps you to see objects outside of their focal point, and also gives you wider view of the field.
After we evaluate these areas, your strengths and weaknesses are reviewed by our team. The doctor may prescribe sports glasses or contact lenses to achieve a visual acuity better than 20/20. There may be vision related exercises you can do to work on any weaknesses notes and improve your skills.
At this point, you will be able to enroll in a weekly training program, personalized just for you to enhance visual-motor performance in your sport!
You will work one on one with our vision coach to enhance those skills for your best season yet!

Now offering Right Eye Sports Vision Eye Q Testing!

In sports, almost 80% of perceptual input is visual. But even 20/20 vision does not mean athletes are performing at their peak. Objects don’t just sit there. They move. Fast. Regular eye exams may reveal that you can see clearly, but they can’t tell how well you ascertain where a ball is in space, how fast it’s traveling or if it’s changing direction.

That’s why we offer vision testing designed specifically for athletes. Using state-of-the-art eye-tracking technology, we can measure the specific vision skills that affect reflexes and hand-eye coordination, including:

  • Eye movement speed
  • Processing speed
  • Dynamic visual focus
  • Smooth visual pursuit
  • Simple reaction time
  • Choice reaction time
  • Binocular vision skills
  • Visual concentration
  • Contrast sensitivity

RightEye Sports Vision EyeQ measures and analyzes your eye movement, brain processing and reaction time against peers, amateurs and pro athletes. When the report identifies opportunities for improvement, our optometrists will customize a plan for you, built from an online library of 150+ training drills. And in just a few weeks, you could be upping your game.
